Aspicore GSM Tracker
Installation and configuration
1. Download the installation program into your phone.
The file name is
AcGsmTrckr3_S60_3_1_v_3_15_983.sis or similar.
2. Installationstarts usually by itself. A new GSM Trckr icon appears into the
bottom of the installed applications menu.
3. Make sure you have an Internet Access point in your phone connection
settings. The access point should use packet data and TCP/IP protocol.
4. Start GSM Tracker.
Use the
Options / Registration
menu in GSM Tracker to set the registration
code, if you have one.
5.
Switch on your Bluetooth GPS device (Not necessary for integrated GPS)
Make sure the GPS has good visibility to the sky.
6. Connect GPS
o
Choose
Options
->
Connect GPS
from GSM Tracker
o
Select the name of your GPS device from the Bluetooth device list.
(Not necessary for integrated GPS)
o
Soon the UTC time and GPS coordinates should appear into the
display. Now you know that the GPS connection works.
7. Make a data connection
o
Choose
Options
->
Packet data
->
Connect to Internet
o
Accept the proposed server IP address and port number by pressing
OK.
o
When prompted, select the Internet access point (see step 3).
o
The middle icon should be now enabled. (If not, a timeout may have
occurred. Try again.)
8. Configure Aspicore GSM Tracker settings

• Trig1 Time period, min: 10 (or other amount of minutes, if
desired)
• Trig1 Distancetrigger:On
• Trig1 Distance, meters: 200
• Misc System attribute: On (A side effect: the application does
not terminate from the task list.)
• Misc Autostart: On

Choose
Back
Now you are ready to start using the application GSM Tracker!
Next time you start the application, the GPS and data connection are created
automatically.
PS. If you are using an integrated GPS and want to optimize the time running on the
battery power, use the "Powersave after fix" option. For more details see the usage
instructions.
PPS. If you want to use the internal GPS of a Nokia phone, enable "Assisted GPS"
and
disable
"Network based" in phone positioning settings. Check that positioning
server is supl.nokia.com.
